Harry was born in Austria in 1933. He immigrated to South Africa as a young man, working on the gold mines, working at times, 3 miles underground.

In 1967 he immigrated to Australia, with his wife and three children. While earning a living and providing for his family his painting took a lesser role and he has been painting off and on for over 60 years and full time since 1986.

Harry is a member of The Half Dozen Group of Artists Inc.; Artists Guild Australia Inc. (Qld). He was a member of Artists Own Gallery for eight years until they closed and a member of Sunny bank Repertory Company where he regularly painted scenery and backdrops. He is a member of New Farm Nash Theater where he again assists back stage and front of house.

Harry paints landscape, still life, portrait and contemporary style paintings in all mediums.

He lives with his wife Nancy in Mt Gravatt East, Brisbane Qld. but his paintings live around the world
